Tableau makes sharing data insights easy for small and large businesses. It offers you the chance to manage your data – and understand how you’re managing it – better than Excel.

At BrightPlanet, we use Tableau to help our customers find insights and want to help you understand how it can be used. That’s why we’re putting together Sioux Fall’s first ever Tableau User Group (TUG) meeting on Thursday, March 24, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. At the event, beginners can get a look into the advantages Tableau offers, while more experienced Tableau user’s benefit from the chance to learn a bit about what BrightPlanet has done with using Web data and Tableau and interact with Tableau users right in Sioux Falls.

The free TUG Sioux Falls meeting will be in the basement of Code Bootcamp Offices, 300 N. Philips Ave., Sioux Falls, SD 57104. If you’re a data company or someone working with data, this is going to be a great chance to learn something new and help improve our Sioux Falls data visualization community.

Here’s the event agenda, in case you’ll be juggling some other things that day:

  • 5:00-5:30 p.m. – Social (Light snacks provided)
  • 5:30-6:00 p.m. – Introduction to Tableau
  • 6:00-6:30 p.m. – Harvesting Web Data for Visualization (Jamie Martin, BrightPlanet)
  • 6:30-7:00 p.m. – Group Logistics Discussion

We hope to see you there. Tableau is a prime tool for managing your business’ data, and we can’t wait to work together to get the most out of it!
