The content transfer module allows export of body-text content through XML output files. These can be placed on the end-users computer or on a server-side location (local storage or SAN).
This is a particularly useful capability in two circumstances:

Loosely-coupled Integration – It is often very useful to exchange
information with a third-party application, such as an entity
extractor, link analyzer, chatter analyzer, visualizer, etc. This
provides a very quick solution to providing clean, well-formatted XML
input to these tools.

Low-side - High-side Transfer – If a client harvests on the open
internet, but wishes to aggregate these harvests with information
contained on a secure network, the Content Transfer Module can be used
to create an export from the non-secure side that can be carried across
the "air gap" and imported into a DQM system on the secure side, as
shown below:
