(Sioux Falls, SD) ---The shareholders of BrightPlanet Corporation elected former National Security Advisor Admiral John Poindexter and Jim Hunt to its Board of Directors. The election was held Tuesday, January 16, 2007.
Dr. John M. Poindexter served as National Security Advisor and Deputy National Security Advisor for President Reagan from 1983 to 1986, and as Military Assistant in the White House prior to that. He provided recommendations to the President on national security, foreign policy and defense policy issues. Dr. Poindexter, now a private consultant, most recently served as Director of the Information Awareness Office (IAO) at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). He served 29 years active duty in the U.S. Navy, rising to the rank of Vice Admiral. Dr. Poindexter is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, and holds masters and doctoral degrees in physics from the California Institute of Technology.
Jim Hunt is currently a managing partner of both the MITA Group, a public affairs and business strategy consultancy based in Washington, DC, and The Nucleus Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Giuliani Partners of New York, NY. His previous positions included that of president, Cap Gemini Technologies, LLC, founder, president, and CEO of Ernst & Young Technologies, managing director for system integration at Price Waterhouse, and 11 years as a scientist for the U.S. Government.
