(SIOUX
FALLS, SD) — BrightPlanet™ Corporation, a provider of technology
solutions for comprehensive researching, competitive monitoring and
managing Internet-sourced information, has developed and released
version 2 of the Deep Query Manager™ (DQM2). The DQM2 is an information
management application for professional researchers that increases
productivity and dramatically improves much of the discovery,
processing and organizing of information found on-line. DQM2 introduces
an impressive leap forward in deep research capabilities for users, and
makes searching, sharing, and managing Internet-sourced information
easier, more thorough, and more flexible.
Comprehensive Discovery of Internet Content
DQM2
provides the broadest access to relevant Internet content - from
generic surface Web search engines to Deep Web specialty databases
seldom indexed by conventional search engines. DQM2 reaches more than
55,000 unique databases, in every relevant topic area from all types of
publishers. "DQM2 lets the user organize and customize their own source
groupings from the largest directory of Internet sources in the world,"
said Mike Bergman, Chairman, and Chief Technology Officer of
BrightPlanet Corporation. "Users can search all or any subset of
relevant databases with a single query. A few minutes of choosing
sources eliminates hours of repetitive searching."
After Discovery; Managing Valuable Information
With
DQM2, users can save and organize large amounts of valuable Internet
content as they would spreadsheets, databases or word processing files.
Any set of search results or even individual Internet documents can be
selected, then stored and managed as files. The new architecture of
DQM2 enables users to easily archive, organize, and share valuable
information with desktop-like management functionality.
Automated Tracking and Monitoring
DQM2
users can schedule daily monitoring and tracking of content from
searchable databases or individual Web sites. Powerful difference
reporting allows users to inspect only the information that has changed
since the last harvest. This feature alone saves hours for anyone
monitoring press coverage, RFP alerts, job listings, competitive
intelligence, or other intelligence gathering.
"Since
Internet content is digital in nature, we designed DQM2 to compare,
track, monitor and report differences for both overall results and
individual documents," according to Thane Paulsen, President of
BrightPlanet.
Page Grabber for On-Demand Versatility
A
new capability lets users add the DQM2 Page Grabber to their personal
toolbar on their Web browser. Thereafter, with a mouse click, users can
add and integrate new valuable documents found while Web surfing - even
when the DQM2 is not being actively used.
DQM2: Listening and Learning
"In
response to customer requests, BrightPlanet added more than 20
significant enhancements to the DQM2," Paulsen said. "DQM2 represents a
significant step up in BrightPlanet's continuing commitment to customer
service and response. Expect more new features, enhanced functionality
and increasing product intelligence in the coming months."
"We
believe the Internet will continue to be the global and universal
medium for posting and finding relevant digital content. BrightPlanet
will lead in the development of how researchers can discover, then
manage and convert this content to useful, relevant information for
their organizations and customers."
