Current BrightPlanet research emphases are shown in the menu on the right. BrightPlanet pursues its research activities through various government contracting vehicles such as BAAs and the SBIR/STTR program, via specific relationships with advanced technology agencies, via joint-funded development projects with partners and via internal funding. Research is a priority for the company to which we assign our most capable scientists and engineers.  BrightPlanet has numerous patents and pending patents and a commitment to strategic intellectual property protection matched with open standards and open source.
